the chicken
Lindslee's current subject of fascination. He observes that people, like chickens, are driven into boring repetitive cycles of everyday existence, talking about the same things, doing the same things over and over again. In portraying the chicken in his works he hopes to play upon this subject in the viewers mind. Is it possible to be different and to explore what is beyond our known comfort zones? Is it still possible to change our perceptions of beauty?

the soup
Michelle’s latest works is a metaphor regarding the relationship between her and the paintings she makes. Soup is commonly prepared to settle the stomach to prepare it for a heavier meal. So is the act of painting, as it is an exercise that prepares the mind for the contemplation of deep and pressing subjects.
