In kindergarten and in my life, I have found that most of my vivid imaginations brought about in my childhood years have helped me see how simple life can be.
Unleashed in Wonderland is a menagerie of whimsical glimpses, small insights that became clear to me while playing around with the idea that everyone at some point is living out a simple truth. We outgrew the ability to believe in simple things… like fairytales our mothers used to read us at night. Strangely enough I keep getting drawn back to those very stories. Somehow, people’s personalities and their circumstances rhymed with those from the story books “at least to me secretly”.
It starts off with Alice, a fairy tale character I was drawn to because of her motives for entering and intersecting Wonderland was simply curiosity, so as it is for me, exploring my strange and seemingly crazy world.
As we go through our lives, we may encounter ways of living and reasoning that is quite different from our own, but it can never stop us from going far beyond our imagination and realizations to find what is true amidst the clamor of our lives.
Wonderland is in fact our own world, only seen through the eyes of a child. May we continue to grow with hearts filled with imagination, passion and wonder that we may see life as children do and maybe one day, find a glimpse of your own Wonderland, too.
